{"_id":"5e7389e84b5c0e20f7f427cc","name":"One Alpha Drops 2mcg 20ml","description":"<p><strong>Product Description:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Alfacalcidol 2 mcg / mL Oral Drops</li>\n<li>Alfacalcidol is indicated in all conditions where there is a disturbance of calcium metabolism due to impaired 1-&alpha; hydroxylation such as when there is reduced renal function.</li>\n</ul>\n<p>The main indications are:</p>\n<ul>\n<li>Renal osteodystrophy</li>\n<li>Hyperparathyroidism (with bone disease</li>\n<li>Hypoparathyroidism</li>\n<li>Neonatal hypocalcaemia</li>\n<li>Nutritional and malabsorptive rickets and osteomalacia</li>\n<li>Pseudo-deficiency (D-dependent) rickets and osteomalacia</li>\n<li>Hypophosphataemic vitamin D resistant rickets and osteomalacia.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>How To Use:</strong></p>\n<p>Initial dose for all indications:</p>\n<p>Adults and children over 20 kg bodyweight:</p>\n<ul>\n<li>1 microgram/day</li>\n</ul>\n<p>Elderly:</p>\n<ul>\n<li>5 microgram/day</li>\n</ul>\n<p>Neonates and premature infants:</p>\n<ul>\n<li>05 - 0.1 microgram/kg/day</li>\n</ul>\n<p>Children under 20 kg bodyweight:</p>\n<ul>\n<li>05 microgram/kg/day</li>\n</ul>\n<p>Half-drop doses should be rounded up to the next whole number of drops.</p>\n<p>Plasma levels should initially be measured at weekly intervals.</p>\n<p>The daily dose of Alfacalidol:</p>\n<ul>\n<li>May be increased by increments of 0.25-0.5 microgram.</li>\n</ul>\n<p>When the dose is stabilized:</p>\n<ul>\n<li>Measurements may be taken every 2-4 weeks.</li>\n</ul>\n<p>Most adult patients respond to:</p>\n<ul>\n<li>Doses between 1 and 3 micrograms per day.</li>\n<li>When there is biochemical or radiographic evidence of bone healing (and in hypo parathyroid patients when normal plasma calcium levels have been attained), the dose generally decreases.</li>\n</ul>\n<p>&nbsp;Maintenance doses:</p>\n<ul>\n<li>generally in the range of 0.25 to 1 microgram per day.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Warnings And Precautions:</strong></p>\n<p>Talk to your doctor or pharmacist before taking One-Alpha:</p>\n<ul>\n<li>If you are taking any of the medicines in the &ldquo;Other medicines and One-Alpha&rdquo;.</li>\n<li>If you have any problems with your kidneys.</li>\n<li>This includes if you have kidney stones.</li>\n<li>If you know that you have any sugar intolerance.
